Kenji Shime

Kenji Shime was graduated from the Faculty of English Language and Literature of Education of Waseda University in 1988 and joined the Showa Ota Audit Cooperation (current EY Japan) in the same year. He joined in KPMG New York office in 1990, focusing on assurances in the manufacturing and service industries. He experienced as a principal in a medium-sized CPA firm in New York, and also experienced as the head of Accounting/Finance for U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese public companies (manufacturing and general trading company). He returned to Japan in 2013 to work as a risk management consultant for major accounting firms.
He is currently the head of Shime CPA Office, a researcher of the Japan Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a lecturer (international accounting theory) at Chuo University’s Faculty of Global Management.
